Development of an automatic landing system for agricultural drones for automatic power feeding.

Development of an automatic landing system for agricultural drones for automatic power feeding.

The size of the domestic market for smart agriculture in FY2022 is expected to be 122.4% of the previous year's level, or approximately 30.3 billion yen. Currently, agricultural cloud, cultivation support such as smart water management systems that enable remote water management in the field, and remote sensing using drones and satellite images are gaining popularity. In promoting smart agriculture, it is necessary to share image data obtained from drone cameras with agricultural robots and to build systems to feed power to drones. The objective of this research is to land drones on agricultural robots with high accuracy, which is the first step in this process. The overall flow of the system is as follows: the laptop sends flight commands to the drone, the drone approaches the agricultural robot, the camera on board the drone recognises the markers on the agricultural robot and then lands.
